EA Sports Tiger Woods Social Media Contest

Social Media is one of the most effective way to get sports fans engaged with a brand. For the first time in franchise history, EA SPORTS™ is giving fans an opportunity to vote and determine who will join Tiger Woods on the cover of Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 13.

This is allowing fans not just to engage with EA SPORTS™ but actually be decision makers. The contest runs from October 3-23, fans can participate in a match play bracket-style voting campaign on EA Sports Facebook Page

Disclosure: Our client Dustin Johnson is in the running for being on the cover. Hambric Sports represents Dustin Johnson and is utilizing Dustin Johnson Facebook Page
and Twitter Hashtag #votedustin to help with votes for their client.

Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 13 will have two versions of the box art – one to appear in North America and one in Europe. Two golfers are going head-to-head each week until a winner is determined on each side. The winners will be announced via Facebook on October 24*.

On the American side of the bracket, the candidates include:
• Ben Crane
• Rickie Fowler
• Jim Furyk
• Dustin Johnson
• Zach Johnson
• Hunter Mahan
• Rocco Mediate
• Bubba Watson

On the European side of the bracket, the candidates include:
• Paul Casey
• Luke Donald
• Ross Fisher
• Graeme McDowell
• Rory McIlroy
• Edoardo Molinari
• Ian Poulter
• Justin Rose

EA SPORTS did a similar Social Media campaign for the cover of Madden cover NFL 12. This got so much attention that ESPN had the announcement on “SportsNation” ESPN2
